Since 1982, we've operated the Ephrata Re-Uzit Shop, located in historic downtown Ephrata at 20 East Main Street. The downtown store sells quality clothing, housewares, and many other small items at affordable prices. New stock is added daily--you can always find a unique item at a great price at the Ephrata Re-Uzit Shop!
The Ephrata Re-Uzit Stores Inc. Furniture & Books store, located just minutes from downtown Ephrata at 1054 South State Street, will be closed beginning Monday, July 1, 2019 as we move into our new building and make preparations for opening. The new store will open sometime in September -- exact date is to be determined.
The third Ephrata Re-Uzit Stores division, Booksavers, is a book processing warehouse in the back of the Furniture & Books store. Booksavers collects donated books in bulk from schools and libraries, as well as books from individuals and families, and processes them to either sell online (on Amazon, Barnes & Noble's website, etc) or in the Furniture & Books store! Anything that can't be sold is recylced--last year, Booksavers saved over 300 tons of paper from our landfills!
WE ARE CONSOLIDATING! Our new building (at 1054 S. State Street in Ephrata) will be completed in the summer of 2019.
By fall of 2019, our new parking lot--replacing the existing Furniture & Books store--will be finished.
The new building will be a one-stop destination for donating and shopping!
As an MCC Thrift Store, Ephrata Re-Uzit Stores support the global mission of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) which includes funding programs that provide those in need with healthcare, emergency food assistance, clean water, education, agricultural items (seeds, tools), and peacebuilding trainings.
