Thank you for donating to our Thrift Store!

We provide a FREE pick up service for donated furnitrue and appliances. All donations must be in clean, salable and in working condition. No rips, tears or obvious stains, smoke free and bug free. Please make sure all items to be picked up are on the main floor and are easily accessible for our drivers. Our drivers DO NOT pick up items in basements or higher floors unless there is an elevator. All donated items will be viewed and assessed by our drivers who have the right to refuse anything they deem unsalable. To make arrangements to  pick up your furniture and appliances, please call the store at 204 694 3669 to speak with one of our staff or volunteer. You may also contact us and send us pictures of your potential donation by emailing mccfts@shaw.ca. 

Unfortunately, due to lack of salabilty, we cannot accept most of the following.

• Hide-a-beds
• Old TVs and TV Stands
• Entertainment units for old TVs
• Exercise equipment
• Sewing machines (Except Tredell machines)
• Used mattresses and box springs
• Office desks and most office furniture
• Metal Filing Cabinets
• Stained or ripped upholstered furniture
• Cabinetry made from pressboard
• Most wall units
• Dated china cabinets
• Unusually heavy items
• Cribs and most baby items

We appreciate your generosity and suggested donation. There are several items we will not accept due to their lack of salability. These factors include the cleanliness and condition of Items. We do not accept anything with obvious rips, tears or stains as we need to consider sanitary standards. Also we need to discern weight restrictions, availability of storage space, as well as current trends. All of which equal little or no demand of certain items in our current market place. Our staff and volunteers are mindful of environmental issues and work hard to avoid adding more unnecessary waste to our landfills.

Furthermore, these standard practices help us to reduce our costs so that we may have a greater financial impact on the work of MCC. Our drivers are qualified to use their discretion when picking up items and adhere to these guidelines. We appreciate your cooperation. Thank you.
